Thanks for being a great friend!

This card was CASE’d from another demonstrator. Hers was completely different (except for the background strips of GLIMMER paper!) but I thought it was so much fun!! I just had to create my own. Remember, this glimmer paper is a Sale-a-bration item now. It will only last to the end of March so get yours quick before it sells out!

I used Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Sweet Sugarplum for my color scheme.  I used watercolor paper for the sentiment block of paper, plus the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  I watercolored some ink on the paper with Sweet Sugarplum ink then, after heat setting it, stamped on it with Stazon.   I like the way it turned out!  If you need Stampin’ Up! supplies (and I think everyone does!) you can go to my website:  http://mamaschroeg.stampinup.net

Hey, Chick!

heychickI got a chance to stamp an Easter card… well, it’s not really an Easter card is it? Eh, maybe it could be… right? Anyway, I like the way this card came out. I used the Sale-a-bration set, Hey, Chick! I used Stitched Shapes Framelits too! I stamped the images with Stazon and colored the chickens with blender pens. The colors used are Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight paper and ink.

Can I just say…. PLEASE can Spring come quicker!  hehehe.

Wedding Fever…

noteinabottleHere’s an adorable way to ask your bridesmaids and maid/matron of honor to be part of the wedding party! Pull off the cork, pull up the “note-in-a-bottle” and unroll the note!!

noteinabottle-messageThe bottles around just over 2″ tall.  So tiny and so cute!  It will be hard to resist becoming a bridesmaid when she unrolls her note….

I have more wedding ideas coming your way!  Stay Tuned.

(Just a note – I bought these little bottles years ago…. just now starting to clear out my stash!)

Embellishment Opportunity

thankyouforthegiftSo yesterday, I mentioned that a card I stamped couldn’t be saved. That, “There are no mistakes. There are only embellishment opportunities,” didn’t work out. It’s rare but it happens. This one, however, is the perfect example of how to save a card that is messed up! LOL So, where’s the boo-boo? Well, I stamped over it!  Just off the tail of the “Y” in thank you, I had ink on the edge of the stamp and didn’t see it when I stamped the sentiment.  There wasn’t going to be anything else on the card… Just the sentiment.  Well…..  Not a bad save, eh?  Coloring the butterfly with markers also helped conceal lighter lines… Phew! *mops her brow*

Thick Whisper White card stock, Stazon ink, and colored with markers. That’s it! Deja Vu? LOL Simple. But, elegant. Tomorrow, I will post my favorite of the bunch!

This card went to my mother-in-law. She sent me a gift card for my birthday and I wanted to thank her.

Challenge #10!

thinkingofyouPhew! I made it through! This challenge was to make 3 cards and SEND them out! LOL!!! At first, it was for birthday cards. I am so bad at my correspondence that I asked if it could be any card (since February is a little light in the birthday department). YES! I am so excited. So, since I knew I would be mailing these cards, I decided to make 4 no-layer cards. Sooooo this card was supposed to be a double. But! I mis-inked it. Now, as you may know, there are no mistakes ONLY embellishment opportunities. Well, in a later card, I did take advantage of that. But not this one. There was no way to save it.

Thick Whisper White card stock, Stazon ink, and colored with markers.  That’s it!  Simple.  But, elegant.  I will post the other two cards soon.  I REALLY liked the way they turned out too.

This card went to my sister-in-law.  Just because….
