One down, 29 to go.

Craft fair season can be a very long process.  I have been diligently working since what, late August, trying to get ready.  Here is a cute project that I didn’t design but CASE’d.  It’s super simple (except when you are making 30 of them to start).  A few punches, scrap paper, ribbon, and pretzel bags.  One thing I love about craft fairs is getting rid of a LOT of scrap paper!!  I also used some retired stamp sets, paper and punches.  Each scallop circle punch is covering a peppermint patty (sorry Lorinda, they are fresh!).  Word of caution:  The hardest part of this project is getting the mints into the bag!  They fit a little too perfectly and it’s a pain to get them in the bag!

FTL 260 – Smile!

This card took me about 10 minutes to put together!  I knew exactly what I wanted to do when I saw the cleanandsimplestamping.blogspot.com’s sketch.  Have you heard this before?  *grins* I say it often.  Anyway, what a fun card!  I love the Tape It stamp set.  I could use it all day…. well, I could but I am getting ready for craft fair season!  LOL

That’s it!!  Don’t you just love when a card doesn’t involve a TON of supplies?

Simply My Digital Studio Challenge

I belong to a Facebook Group called Simply My Digital Studio Challenge.  What a great group!  Kimberly Van Diepen and Heather Summers run this group and they are premier MDS’ers!!  Anyway, they posted a sketch this week and it took me all week to get to it but I got it in!  If you are on Facebook and you want to learn more about MDS, this is an AMAZING group!!  Join it today!!

The photos have been taken over the years of my friend, Cathy Casey and I.  Every one of these photos were taken at airports.  Usually at o’dark thirty!!  We travel to Stampin’ Up! Convention and Leadership just about every year!  This year we drove to Convention together!  What a hoot!!

Inspiration

So, yesterday, I was inspired by My Paper Pumpkin’s card layout.  I wanted to do this card immediately but real life got in the way.  For some reason, I am on a cooking frenzy.  I made homemade banana bread, homemade fried chicken and I cooked Escarole and froze it (I make a yummy soup with it but had it this week.  I am afraid I won’t be able to find the escarole when I want the soup again).  Then, I started looking for something else to make.  I guess with Fall in the air, I am feeling the need to make “comfort foods.”

Anyway, this card was super simple to make.  I used Gingham Garden washi tape, Gingham Garden DSP, the Chevron Border Punch and Vintage Faceted Buttons!  Super Fun!

September Paper Pumpkin

Yippee-Skippee!!  Another amazing box came to my door this week.  I think it came on Wednesday but I wasn’t home 😦  Anyway, I tore into this box (like I do every month) and got to work early this morning.  I have to take my son to his Jazz Band class and it starts at 6:15 AM (yes, I said, AM – believe me, this is NOT something I like to do (get up early that is)).  Of course, I had to make Banana Bread first!  That’s going to be my lunch, I think.  I mean I HAVE to taste it before I give to my children, right?? That’s what a good mom would do!  I wouldn’t want them to get sick or anything!  *giggles*

Anyway… I digress!  I made my cards two ways, landscape and portrait.  I think I like the landscape just a little bit better!  I don’t know if it’s a “room” thing (meaning it looks like there’s more room for all the elements) or if it’s a balance thing (meaning the card looks more balanced).  Either way, the cards are adorable.  They are unisex (I would say they are more masculine to me) and I know I don’t have enough “congratulation” cards, especially for what could be a “work” situation!
