I LOVE this stamp set! I don’t know why. I am not a HUGE pig fan. But, I just love it! As I have started to prepare for not only upcoming craft fairs but a Women’s Expo here in a week or so, I just needed this set to be a part of it. This is a refillable notepad cover (I have the instructions on my blog here: https://stampwithaltitude.com/2017/02/03/throwback-thursday/). Anyway, This Little Piggy is a great set. I will post more of these soon.
I used blender pens to water color in Soft Sky, Powder Pink, Smoky Slate and Blushing Bride. The notepad cover is Melon Mambo with a Basic Black mat. I stamped the pig and sentiments in Basic Black Archival. What do you think of this one?
So I have a great new project to show you! I did NOT design this. It is super easy and super fun to make. The hardest time I had was designing the cards that went on the inside. I have an idea why. See, when I started this project, I had an order come in of some new goodies…. like Embossing Paste. I wanted so badly to break into it that I couldn’t function! Wait until you see the fun projects I made with it though (they are coming a couple of days)…. I have so much to show you!!
Anyway, I got the idea from splitcoaststampers. Have you visited that site yet? OMG! You could get lost in just the techniques section alone! There are tons! As part of the Creative Crew there, one of my challenges was to use the “Summer Lovin'” theme and use one of the techniques in the tutorials section. It uses 1 – 12×12 piece of DSP. The embellishements are totally up to you! The photo to the right is what the inside looks like. The Clutch holds 4 note cards with envelopes. It could hold more but I didn’t want to “damage” the clutch before I got pics of it.
This pillow box has a string hanging out of it. When you pull the string, the message comes out of the box. This one says, Will you be my matron of honor? Isn’t that cute!! I agree!
Here’s an adorable way to ask your bridesmaids and maid/matron of honor to be part of the wedding party! Pull off the cork, pull up the “note-in-a-bottle” and unroll the note!!
The bottles around just over 2″ tall. So tiny and so cute! It will be hard to resist becoming a bridesmaid when she unrolls her note….
With Valentine’s Day, right around the corner… Well, I thought I would bring back a great project! It’s not my original design so I don’t feel comfortable sharing the dimensions… however, I tried to find this box again and can’t find it anywhere. Just know, it’s not mine. Another demonstrator thought this baby up.
I did something completely different with this box. I used the Window Box Thinlets to cut-out the shapes in each of the side panels and the Love Notes Thinlets to cut hearts out for the handle! Super cute!!
Now, fold up the sides. The flaps should both fold into either side of the box. (where the cut lines are) I stapled the sides and the handle on at the same time. Using only 1 staple right in the middle to secure the box together. You will cover the staple with a scallop set (mine is the Kiss and the lips).
